Health insurance – What does supplementary insurance cover?

Will my supplementary insurance cover the costs?

That depends on your policy. As a naturopath (TEN), I am EMR-registered. Many Swiss supplementary insurances for complementary medicine therefore contribute to the costs – how much varies from insurer to insurer and from policy to policy.

What can be billed?

• Consultations, assessments and treatments within Traditional European Naturopathy (TEN)
• Applications such as nutritional advice, herbal medicine, foot reflexology or classic massage, when they are part of the treatment

Good to know

• Costs are only covered with a supplementary insurance for complementary medicine. Basic insurance does not cover these services.
• Products such as teas, spagyric remedies or supplements are usually not covered.
